A rechargeable electric hookah head - replacing burning coals with smart, safe heating.
e-Shisha is a rechargeable electric heating element designed to replace traditional burning coals in hookah (nargila) smoking. The system consists of two main components: a powered base that sits under the hookah and a detachable heating element that replaces the coal on top.
The base houses interchangeable 14.4 V / 6,000 mAh batteries, a control PCBA, an RGB LED status ring, and a pick-up microphone that detects inhalation via the characteristic bubbling sound — automatically switching between standby and smoking modes.
The heating element features three independently powered coils inside a heavy-duty ceramic housing with a stainless-steel tobacco holder and a protective metal cover. The modular design supports continuous 4–5 hour sessions and is built for both home use and commercial café environments.
ATI was responsible for the full product development scope - from requirements definition and electronic design through mechanical engineering, prototyping, DFM, and production preparation.
